things have started going wrong. not hugely wrong but a bit. enough to make me worry even more than I usually do. they're little things: my day sack seems to fall off my main bag and I can't work out how to keep it secure, I'm not going to be covered for malaria when I'm in Ethiopia (my fault, I booked my appointment at the doctors too late), my solar charger won't charge my camera, I have nooo money left at all... quite little things but they all add up to make me quite scared. I'm sure it will be amazing once I'm out there and I won't even think about these things. But at the moment it's raining and I'm broke and I can't quite believe that in 3 weeks I'll be in Africa.

resignation is handed in, first set of visas has arrived, had most of the jabs...

ah it's all getting so soon! only problem is I'm going to be a bit late getting my malaria tablets. I rang the doctors the other day who gave me a telling off about leaving it so late. my room is covered in lists of things left to do. which I will probably keep forgetting about. but this is just a first post to let you know that it's getting there, slowly.
